Oatmeal & Honey Soap

Oatmeal & Honey Soap is a timeless blend of Oatmeal, Honey, Chamomile, Amyris, and Hyacinth all of which condition and exfoliates the skin. The ingredients are oatmeal, honey, amyris, chamomile, and hyacinth.

Amyris and hyacinth are both essential oils contained in this recipe and are used not only for fragrance but therapeutic benefits as well.  Amyris is from the West Indies and is often referred to as sandalwood.  Amyris is a rare oil and oftentimes substituted with sandalwood because of its popularity and similar benefits. Both oils are used for insomnia and stress, which also helps to fight aging skin when used in cosmetics. Hyacinth has soothing antiseptic benefits with a beautiful floral scent. This adds a unique essence to the Oatmeal & Honey Soap.

3 parts oatmeal        
3 parts dried herbs of personal choice
2 parts grated soap 

Pour ingredients in a cloth bag and use as a washcloth. 

Treatment for Dry Hair
¼ cups honey
¼ cup of olive oil

Stir until the mixture is smooth and apply to clean wet hair. Let the mixture soak for at least 15 minutes and rinse with warm water. Style as usual.
