The different bones of the wrist can be a complex study as there are 8 wrist bones which coordinate together to provide with perfect hand movement. Wrist Bone Structure 

The wrist bone structure is divided into a couple of parts, starting from your arm till the end of your fingers. From your arm, the radius and ulna interact with the radiocarpal joint, the first joint which shows the beginning of the wrist bones. This radiocarpal joint is then linked with the 8 carpal bones, the ones which form the basis of the wrist bones. These 8 bones are quite important in their function and you would find that they are extremely important for interacting with further bones and joints. The lower row of the wrist bones comprise of pisiform, triquetrum, lunate and scaphoid. The upper row, the one which interacts with the carpometacarpal joint, comprises of trapezium, trapezoid, capitate and hamate. These wrist bones are further linked to the metacarpals, through the carpometacarpal joint, and each of the forms a different type of joint.
